I admit I do not and never will understand the appeal of being well and truly petrified.

I'm sure the teenagers will love it, but for me, I'll stay at Disney.

HHH is great!!! It's the one thing that will get me to come back to Universal more than once every 5 years or so - I really don't care for the parks otherwise. It's not just the haunted house thing - the entire atmosphere of the parks is great. It's like walking into a horror movie. For those of you who aren't horror buffs it probably wouldn't be a fun time.

I won't watch horror films and would never attend this type of event, but even so I love behind-the-scenes story!

I used to work at a horror theme park in Massachusetts called Spooky World its first few years (anyone who went when it was back in Berlin, I was Roadkill, one of the narrators on the hayride; the one with the dead coyote on my head.  Couldn't miss me unless you missed my wagon. :)  )  I can definitely attest to the physical risk of working in a haunt . . . I would fill in for actors all the time and got kicked, punched, knocked down, you name it.  And I'm 5'2, not terribly imposing.  I even had to help tackle an entire very famous band in one of our haunted houses because the lead singer thought it would be fun to break a bottle of Jack Daniels over one of our actor's heads.

So if you go to Universal, or any other haunted happening, please remember that we're just actors under the scare.  Our bones break (my collarbone did at least, thank you very much Mr. Size 12 Steel-toes) just as easily as yours do, and we're just having a good time as you are.  Really, your attempts to impress your girlfriends with how tough you are against rubber masks fail when the cops haul you out because you broke a father of three's nose as he came at you with a stethascope playing a mad doctor.

Oddly enough though, BEST JOB EVER.  *chuckles*
