This "all-suite" concept may take me to these resorts with my family. I usually shy away from the value resorts since I prefer the slightly larger rooms at the moderate or deluxe so my kids can unwind (and not kill me in the process).

I look forward to some more pictures of the unfinished side...

Maybe I'm weird, but the unfinished look is... refreshing, somehow. The decor at the rest of the Value resorts is so over the top that it's kind of a nice change of pace.

Maybe Disney can open them as-is. Just change the name from "Pop Century Classic Years" to Disney's Generic Value Resort" and they're all set! ;)

I'm not a fan of the "All-Star" or "Pop Century" resorts, i stayed at Music once, for those of you who've traveled down I-95 to get to WDW, it reminded me of a nicer version of "South of the Border", definitely not Magical at all.

If they wanted to do a 40's themed resort, i'd rather them do something tastefull with period-acurate colors and art deco accents, leave the giant words and tacky props for the T-shirt stands in Kissimee please!

Jedi, your SOTB reference is quite on the money. Still, there is something alluring about a building holding THAT MANY fireworks.
Back to WDW. Disney has to build what the customers are calling for. If there are more people clamoring for suite style rooms at the usual Disney small suite price than there are people searching for two full size beds to recharge on, then build the suites. And vice versa. So far as the theme of the resort, I kinda like the idea of Disney's Art Deco Resort. (Hey, they don't pay me to come up with the names.) They could really make this resort a fun sight with taste and class. And while Pop Century may be fun, I don't know that I would classify it as tasteful and/or classy.

I could deal with an Art Deco resort, or even a resort where the various sections were styled to whatever was popular back then. All-Stars and Pop Century are interesting to look at, and I guess they'd be OK to stay in, but the resorts seem so weirdly decorated compared to the great theming the Moderate and higher level resorts have.
