It has been twenty years since I last visited SFOG and rode Monster Plantation. What I remember most about the ride was that I wished I was in WDW. I don't mean that as a slam on MP; I actually appreciated the ride. As a recall, MP was the only Audio-Animatronic type ride at SFOG. It made me long the many AA attractions back in FL. Here's hoping that the MP refurb goes over well and encourages SF management to produce more.

I agree with what Pinto said. I hope S.F. produces more animatronic based shows. I am happy that SFOG has saved this classic ride

I can't stand SFOG and have to be tied up and carried in order to go to the park - check your weapons at the gate. Anyway, I'm really glad they kept this ride and I might actually have to make a trip this year to experience it.

I've never been to Six Flags and am therefore unfamiliar with this attraction. But from these photos of the animatronic characters and the concept art, it's very refreshing to see something that's pure, appealing CARTOON in its design. Disney used to do that so well themselves too, until Eisner chased away all the cartoonists from Imagineering. I've hated pretty much every attraction that's come along in the last 15 to 20 years. I love the whimsy of "The Country Bear Jamboree" and "America Sings". This "Monster Plantation" looks to have a similar cartoon mindset to those great attractions.
