Stellan Skarsgard??...Darn, so they couldn't get Keith Richards after all, like they said they were going to (and had written the whole Sparrow's-father part for in the first place)? :(

Yep, can't wait and more than pumped. Probably shouldn't have read the article, due to the spoilers, but I couldn't resist. July 7th can't get here soon enough!

DerekJ, Stellan Skarsgard is playing Bootstrap Bill, WILL's father, not Sparrow's father. Though I do recall that they were unable to get Keith Richards (touring). Don't know where Sparrow's father fit into the storyline.

IIRC, they did say they'd try and get Keith Richards for the 3rd one.

Since Part 3 is currently filming, I wonder if part two ends in a cliffhanger of sorts...July 7th can't come soon enough. The summer will once again belong to Captain Jack Sparrow! Arrr!

From my memory, Keith Richards was excited about doing the movies, but then asked for an exorbitant amount of money for the few lines he had to deliver. It's too bad, because it would have been a riot. I'm very excited about the movie, and much more so than I was before, thanks to this article. I appreciate it Jim!

Thanks for the preview. I personally cannot wait for this movie. I've been looking forward to it since the house lights went up after the first time I saw the first film. It's my number one, a little ahead of Cars, and way ahead of Superman and the Xmen for my summer blockbuster dollar. Bring it on!

While Pirates is certainly not my number one, it's definitely my number 2. The filmmakers might have been hard pressed to top the greatness of the first film and this one might fall a little bit flat as a result. My money is on Superman for owning the Box Office this summer. With the brilliant casting of Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor, and the hype machine that is about to go into full overdrive starting the Friday, this one has a major shot of the highest grossing flick. X-3, I am waiting to see it first before I pass my judgement on it. I have heard that it's a great movie and worthy of the two movies before it but the pictures I have seen have told me otherwise. Still, seeing Magneto tearing up the Golden Gate bridge should be a major movie treat...(mind you, not that I have anything against San Francisco, in fact it's a great city but it just gets me geeking out whenever they pull off something like this!
