I'll say right now, I'm a huge Simpson obsessive, and have seen EVERY episode numerous times. I'm looking forward to the movie more than any other film this year. As for those Kwik-E-Marts, that's just awesome.

The details on that Burbank one are amazing, and the character cut-out are a great touch.

bhb007 put my sentiments in perfect word form.  It's inevitable.  There are two kinds of stories that make up the bulk of JHM: undigested regurgitations of press releases, and shadowy insider reports of doom.  This is the former, the latter is mere weeks away.

"Sly nods"?  Honestly, how can you look at this overblown marketing campaign and even use a word like "sly"?

I'm not saying it's a bad campaign.  It fits right in with the overblown nature of the Simpsons franchise. But there's nothing "sly" about it.

Clever and funny.

But I'm still not taking my kids to see the movie.

Sadly Buzz cola is not available at the soda fountain, when you read the sign on the soda machine it says it's only available in cans.

Also if you do get out to one of these, by all means avoid the blue vanilla squishie. I love vanilla and couldn't stand this concotion!.

While cool, I don't know how that makes people want to see a movie.

Just like I don't know how a Jack Sparrow animatronic inserted into a 40 year old classic theme park attraction, a free Nintendo DS download in adventureland or an entire Harry Potter theme park makes people want to go out and rent movies on DVD.

What a waste of time. And the Simsons Movie will be a success it will be a good time at the movies ... but it won't make half the money Transformers will ... and it won't be on the podium at the Golden Globes and Oscars like Ratatouille will.

I just saw Transformers, and the trailers for the Simpsons movie are better than that whole movie.

I loved Matt Groening's comics, but never found "The Simpson's" all that appealing or interesting. I wonder how many teens think "Kwik-e_Mart" is cool because of the nudge nudge wink wink sexual innuendo?
