I'm glad to see the Imagineer's Guide to Disney's Animal Kingdom being released, but, why the fourth park being released before the third?  In other words, why was this guide released before the one for Disney/MGM Studios?

I'm guessing Disney/MGM Studios was temporarily skipped for two reasons:

1.  Pending the final decisions on rebranding the park.  Will it be "Disney Studios"?  "Disney/Pixar Studios"?  Something else?

2.  By waiting another year they can include details on Midway Mania...or whatever the intend to call the WDW clone of the new DCA attraction.

On the cover of "Disney Adventure Stories", it looks like Lighting is trying to run over Mowgli.  If I was the designer of the cover, I'd not put someone close to the ground in front of Lightning McQueen.  Just a thought.

Even though I'm not a tween, I love "High School Musical", so thank you for putting the plot sypnosis for the sequel- I hadn't heard a word about the plot!

If I bought any of these books, it'd be the "Ratatouille" cookbook...usually I buy Disney books about behind the scenes at the studio or the films.

Great article, Jim.

When I bought the Epcot Field Guide, part of my excitement was knowing that the MGM one was next. Oh, well. At least I'll be sure after the AK one comes out.

I'm surprised the usual mindless bashing of HSM isn't going on, particularly that it's a niche fad.

Just read that the soundtrack was the number one album of 2006.  3.7 million copies sold.  That's pretty freaking amazing, especially for a made-for-tv movie.

Any word on what is going on with Walt Disney's Legends of Imagineering and the Genesis of the Disney Theme Park by Jeff Kurtti?  Amazon has noted the postponement of  the release of the book on several ocassions since it went on pre-order last year.  Any word on why Disney Editions has postponed release?

Del nuovo film Pixar continua a girare molto poco materiale, anzi dal film vero e proprio quasi niente oltre al trailer e manifesto ufficiale. Qualche soddisfazione in più ci viene dai giocattoli e dai libri e infatti queste due immagini...
