Well, it's official. The worst kept secret in Disneyland history has finally been revealed.

Come 2007, the "Happiest Place on Earth" will have a brand-new attraction themed around Pixar Animation Studio's 2003 release, "
Finding Nemo
." A brief description of this redo of this classic Tomorrowland attraction ...

So now that Disney's officially let the catfish out of the bag, what happens next? Well, after clearing out most of this Tomorrowland attraction's original props, the on-site construction teams have turned their attention to the Submarine Voyage's old track. Late last week, they entered a crude network of pipes over the badly rusted track ...

The construction workers then covered over these pipes.

So that they then get serious about this rust removal project. Hopefully, by the time all this work is done, the track for Tomorrowland's submarine voyage will look as good as it did with this Disneyland attraction first opened back in July of 1959.
Meanwhile, other decorative elements from the original attraction have been carefully bagged & tagged and now await refurbishment.

Trust me, folks. Based on what Jim has told me about this new Tomorrowland attraction, the "Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage" is really going to be one hell of a ride. A witty & affectionate update of an old Disneyland favorite.

As far as I'm concerned, 2007 can't get here fast enough.
