The time was this past Sunday afternoon. The place was the Ziegfeld Theater in New York City. The occasion was the East Coast debut of the DVD version of that Disney animated classic, "Cinderella."

Over 800 guests -- including hundreds of little girls dressed in Cinderella dresses -- turned out for this afternoon event. Dozens of journalists & photographers lined the red carpet, anxious to get a word with the various celebrities who would be attending the screening.
Coming out to "View" the film was Star Jones Reynolds, who demonstrated her princess wave as she posed for the press ...
... While "Dancing with the Stars" winner Kelly Monaco turned up on the red carpet in a modern interpretation of Cinderella's ball gown that Monique Lhuillier had created. Country music star Clint Black and his wife, Lisa Hartman, were also in attendance.
As was "Saturday Night Live" vet Molly Shannon. Who brought her daughter, Stella, to the DVD premiere.
Representing the original vocal cast of the picture, animation legend June Foray (AKA the voice of Lucifer) made the trip to NYC all the way from Southern California.
From the Disney Channel, Ashley Tisdale and Brenda Song from "The Suite Life of Zach and Cody" put in an appearance.And who's that in the pumpkin coach ...
... But the "stars" of "Mike's Super Short Show" : Mike (Mike Johnson) and Sally (Alyson Stoner). Who were covering the NYC premiere of the "Cinderella" DVD for the Disney Channel.
And once the premiere was over ... Well, you can't tell the story of "Cinderella" without there being a royal ball ...
