Yeah, I know. JHM has a brand-new look. It took a long time (more importantly, an awful lot of hard work by Nancy Stadler and Max Schilling) to make this happen. So if you like what you see here, you have those two to thank.
And normally, I'd be posting an article here that hyped all of the site's new bells & whistles. But given that JHM is primarily an entertainment news, all of that will have to wait. Given that I have some sad news to share this morning.
You remember Pres Romanillos, right? The supervising animator of Shan-Yu in "Mulan" and Little Creek in "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron"? Pres recently suffered a relapse of leukemia and was in the hospital awaiting a second bone marrow transplant. And while the animation community really rallied around Romanillos (with the Animation Guild raising over $65,000 as part of the Pres-Aid's live auction that they held back in June), I'm sorry to report that Pres passed away on Saturday.
Romanillos leaves behind his lovely wife Jeannine as well as his friends & family. Who are understandably devastated at the sudden loss of this man of great talent and passion.
JHM will have more about this much beloved artist & animator in the coming week. But - for now - we extends our heartfelt condolences to all those who knew Pres during their time of sorrow.
