January 2017 - Ever wonder how the the first animated feature ever to be nominated for a Best Picture Oscar, "Beauty and the Beast" was created? Or how an episode of the "Disneyland" TV show convinced President Dwight Eisenhower that it was time for America to enter the space race? If you have, then you definitely want to keep reading. If you haven't, but you're fascinated by all things Disney, then you definitely want to keep reading!

These questions and more will be answered by none other than Jim Hill - writer, Disney Dish Podcaster, theme park historian, storyteller and darn good researcher - at two special BACKSTAGE AT THE Y talks at The Rosen Performing Arts Center at the Wayne YMCA.

Presented in partnership with e.t.c. -- Events Tailored & Customized, "Looking Back at Disneys Beauty and the Beast" and "Spaced Out Disney: 60 Years Of Going Out Of-This-World With Walt" are two timely, historical talks you won't want to miss.

Update: Due to inclement weather, the talk originally scheduled for Sunday February 12, 2017 had to be postponed. "Looking Back At Disney's Beauty and the Beast" has been rescheduled for Sunday March 19th. "Spaced Out Disney" has also been moved to April 23rd, 2017. Tickets are still available for both presentations by clicking the Buy Tickets links below.

These talks are part of the BACKSTAGE AT THE Y Concert Series presented at the Rosen Performing Arts Center in the YMCA in Wayne, NJ. The Rosen PAC theater offers a uniquely intimate setting to meet and listen to special artists like Jim.

A ticket holder's Rosen Performing Arts Center experience starts at the Backstage Door and ends with a seat on stage. In between everyone gets to pass the dressing rooms, wander in the wings, say hello to the stagehand and finally step onto the stage to be seated for the performance. On stage for the entire performance, the audience becomes an integral part of the show.
