Roy continues:
Okay. The line finally begins to move in DCA. We basically walk around California Adventure’s interior before we stroll out of that park straight out into the Esplanade. Here, the entire plaza is roped off. Which gives us a clear shot straight into Disneyland.

FYI: The entire plaza area is lined with cast members, who are smiling & waving at us & saying things like “Happy birthday!,” “We’re so glad you could make it,” and “Thanks for coming out today.”
Of course, just beyond these people, across the plaza, I can see the huge line of people who didn’t make it into DCA earlier this morning. The folks who are obviously anxious to get into Disneyland today. I wonder if all of those people will also make it into the park this morning.

Once we’re inside Disneyland, we see that Main Street U.S.A. is also lined with cast members who are smiling & waving, greeting us all as we enter the park. It’s a very nice way to start this very special day.

Once you get to the Hub, cast members are happy to direct you wherever you want to go. If you’re looking for special commemorative merchandise, you’re sent into Adventureland. If you’re looking for something to ride, you’re directed toward Tomorrowland. Where supposedly Space Mountain is already up and running today.
If you want to watch this morning’s ceremony at the castle, you’re directed toward rows & rows of seats that are set up around the Hub. That’s where Jeff & I are now. Trying to find the very best spot to get the shots we need of this morning’s ceremony.

By the way … The castle seems to be decorated with some additional banners. Jeff’s trying to get some photos of these additional decorations now. I hope to post them on JHM tomorrow.
That’s it for now from Mr. Mitchner. Look for another update from the guys here on JHM later today.
