Greetings from the Big, Baked Apple.
This last day or so, it’s been insanely hot in New York City. As Nancy, Jeff and I have been cruising around the city, we’ve seen temperatures posted as high as 102. Which is why everyone in NYC now has their air conditoners set on “Stun.”
Of course, the only problem with doing something like that is that it puts this huge demand on the power grid. Which actually collapsed out where we were staying yesterday out near the Newark airport.
And seeing as the hotel that we were staying out was without power for 5 hours last night … Well, that really cut into my writing time. Which is where there’s no new article up on JHM today.
But the upside is … We’re here in town to cover the 2008 Licensing Show at the Jacob K. Javits Center. And given all of the amazing things that Ms. Stadler, Mr. Lange and I have seen so far … You can expect to see some very interesting material to be up on this website in a day or so. Once we get back to drier, cooler New Hampshire that is.
So thanks in advance for your patience, folks. And for the sake of everyone down here in the Tristate area, here’s hoping that this heat wave breaks soon.
