Celebrities go for the gold …

Today, I thought I might try something different. Rather than continue to show you shots that I took back on May 4th & 5th, I thought that I might share some of the pictures that Disneyland’s own photographers took during the press event.

And — given that this is the golden anniversary of “The Happiest Place on Earth” — what better way is there to commemorate this august occasion than by taking a few photos of celebrities playing in the park with their families. Here, Pierce Brosnan takes his son, Paris, out for a spin on Disneyland’s “Dumbo the Flying Elephant” ride.

Whereas Geena Davis seems to prefer to fly Dumbo solo. FYI: ABC just announced that Ms. Davis will be appearing a new hour-long drama for the network next season. The show’s  called “Commander in Chief.” In which Geena will be playing the first female president of the United States.

Meanwhile, over at the “Mad Tea Party,” Kelsey Grammer gets ready to take his wife, Camille, and daughter, Mason, out for a spin.

This opening day attraction proved to be a very popular photo spot for celebs. Above, you’ll see that “Desperate Housewives” stars Teri Hatcher and James Denton chose the Teacups when they were asked to smile for the camera.

Later that same morning, Disneyland photographers caught Christina Aguilera and her date laughing it up as they whirled around in this Fantasyland favorite.

And at the after-hours party, Tyra Banks — in a rather low-cut blouse — was seen showing off her D-cups when she posed inside a tea cup.

Meanwhile, over at the King Arthur Carousel, Julie Andrews was spotted planting a gentle kiss on Jingles …

… while Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood cozy up inside a gold-plated Autopia car.

So clearly the celebrities were enjoying these Disneyland ride vehicles with their bright, shiny new paint jobs. But what about the rest of us?

Come back tomorrow and I’ll tell you all about how these golden anniversary ride vehicles seem to be causing lots of headaches for cast members as well as members of the general public.
