What:Entertainment writer and Disney historian Jim Hill takes you behind the scenes at Walt Disney Animation Studios and reveals Disney's more than 60-year struggle to turn Hans Christian Andersen's beloved fairy tale into a full-length animated feature. Over the course of this 90 minute-long talk and workshop, Mr. Hill will share stories about the Studio's earlier attempts to translate this classic story to the big screen (can you imagine Elsa as a bawdy ex-showgirl voiced by Bette Midler?) as well as teach program participants how to rosemale (i.e., the decorative folk painting of Norway that helped to give "Frozen" its distinctive look).
