Mind you, David wasn’t the only celebrity on hand yesterday for Disney Consumer Products’ 2012 American International Toy Fair kick-off event. Sharon Osbourne (who’ll be voicing Captain Hook’s mother for Season 2 of 2011’s #1 cable TV series for boys 2-5) was also at the Altman Building in NYC on Monday morning, as she showed off the one-of-a-kind toy version of Mama Hook that Hasbro had created for Ms. Osborne.

Osbourne and Arquette were there to lend a little star power to this DCP event, where over 130 new toys (which drew their inspiration directly from four series on Disney Junior, that popular Disney Channel programming block which will be launched as a 24-hour channel aimed at kids 2-7 and their families late next month) were introduced for industry professionals.
And based on the strong reaction that the “Doc McStuffins” toys …

How much did the kids that were on hand for this DCP Toy Fair showcase enjoy playing with all of these new Disney Junior-related items? So much so that when David Arquette dropped by the “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” area and then offered to do the voice of Scully the Parrot live for these guys …

… these kids barely looked up from the “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” play sets they were playing with.
Which was probably not the smartest move. After all, given David & Sharon’s connection to the crew that produce this hit Disney Junior series…
