I should have known something was up as soon as I entered the lobby of Disney’s Hotel New York. Which was filled – floor to ceiling – with brightly colored Mickey Mouse mylar balloons.

And as I made my way through Disney Village, there were decorations and posters everywhere …

So how exactly does Mickey’s Magical Party differ from the Disneyland Resort Paris’ 15th anniversary celebration? Well, for starters, do you remember those dark blue banners that lined Main Street U.S.A. ?

But – that said – the press was swarming all over the place this past weekend, getting all of the images & info that they needed for those stories that they’d be running this next week on Mickey’s Magical Party. As I walked around the rest of the Park, I found that work is basically been completed on the “It’s Dance Time … In Discoveryland” stage show area …

The promotional literature promises “EnorMouse Fun for Everyone!” And based on that ginormous Mickey Mouse-shaped scrim which had been set up in front of the Castle this past Saturday, they may just be right.
