I know that it's usually not cool to peek at your Christmas
presents. But given that Ephinany comes at the very tail end of the holiday
season … Well, I'm hoping that it'll be okay if I reveal what Disneyland Park
has planned for this weekend's three day-long Three Kings' Day celebration.
Starting today, Frontierland's Big Thunder Ranch will be decorated with huge hanging
papel picado banners …

… as this part of Disneyland
Park gets ready for Dia de los
Reyes. Which traditionally gets underway on the night of January 5th.
Where good little boys & girls put straw in their shoes before going to
bed. The straw is meant to feed the camels that the Three Kings are riding on.
And to thank these thoughtful children for their most generous gift, the Three
Kings then place small gifts inside of their shoes.

For those of you who would like to learn a little more about
Dia de los Reyes and/or are Three Cabelleros fans, here's an interview that I
did yesterday at Disneyland's Three Kings Day media
preview.
Dia de los Reyes (as you might expect) is a time for family,
food and fun. Where everyone gathers together for special seasonal treats like
Rosca de Reyes (King's Bread).
And speaking of seasonal treats, Disneyland Resort Assistant
Pastry Chef Nubia Renteria showed me how to make a real Three Kings Day
favorite.
Doesn't that look delicious?

Just to be clear here: Though this is the second year in a
row that Disneyland Park
has celebrated Dia de los Reyes, this time around this theme park's Three Kings
Day celebration is one of the special experiences being offered as Disney's
year-long Limited Time Magic program. If you'd like a little more info about
how Limited Time Magic, here's an interview that I did on this topic yesterday.
Half the fun of attending a media event at Disneyland
Park is getting a peek
behind-the-scenes. Getting to watch as the Ballet Folklorico Dancers & the
Mariachi Divas stand in front of the cameras waiting for their cue …

… And then – after someone shouts "Action!" – the air is
filled with festive music as two of the groups that will be providing
entertainment at this three day-long event go through their paces.

Just in case you're wondering: There'll be plenty for the
kids to do at Disneyland Park's
Dia de los Reyes celebration. Whether it's coloring pictures of the Three
Kings, customizing their own paper crown with sparkling
"jewels" …

… and/or taking part in an interactive Fiesta Street Party
which will feature appearances by Mickey, Minnie and some of your other
favorite Disney characters.

Just be aware that Disneyland's Three
Kings Day celebration really is Limited Time Magic. So you really want to enjoy
all of this merry mariachi music, those colorfully clad dancers and check out
all of the scenic displays that have been set up around Big Thunder Mountain
Ranch that pay tribute to Southern California's Mexican
culture …

… you really need to get to Disneyland
Park today, tomorrow or Sunday,
January 6th. Which actually
is Three Kings Day.
