PASADENA, Calif. – October 16, 2012 – With the launch of Disney Store's new site design, the specialty retailer is also introducing "Disney Magical Message" video capabilities and enhanced social media tools. The Disney Store site redesign delivers a franchise-focused, streamlined shopping experience for guests. For the first time ever, guests can record and customize a special "Disney Magical Message" video to send along with their DisneyStore.com gift purchases for friends and family. Gift recipients will receive an email notifying them of a special delivery, then once the gift arrives at their door, a card will provide them a site URL and a personal ID where they can view their personal "Disney Magical Message" video. This unique feature comes at a perfect time with the holidays just around the corner. DisneyStore.com also makes it easier for guests to shop for products by character, with enhanced filtering options for search and social media sharing capabilities. Guests can experience the new design whether they are on their desktop, tablet or mobile phone.

The new site also features animated content to entertain and surprise guests while they browse. The animation feature allows guests to interact with favorite characters and moments from classic Disney films while they shop on Disney Store's franchise pages.
