For four weeks now, Phineas & Ferb fans have been patiently
waiting to learn what became of Agent P.
That crime-fighting platypus who suddenly disappeared back on July 26th when
"Where's Perry? Part 1" first aired on the Disney Channel.

And while I'm pleased to hear Agent P's fate will finally be revealed tonight when "Where Perry? Part 2" premieres
at 9 p.m. ET / PT … To be honest, I
consider this particular episode of "Phineas & Ferb" to be just
the prelude to the answer to an even bigger mystery. One that seems to lie at
the very heart of that fun new Disney Channel animated series, "Gravity
Falls."
As in: Who the heck is this guy?

And — no — I don't mean Dipper (the kid in the blue down
vest to the left of that crushed golf cart) …

… or the 50 foot-tall monster made entirely out of gnomes
from the forest.

… I'm talking about the guy in the background behind the
giant gnome monster.

Sharp eyed "Gravity Falls" viewer have been
noticing that this heavy-set, goggle-wearing character pops up repeatedly in
the background of various episodes of this new Disney Channel animated series.

You can plainly see him on the beach of Lake Gravity Falls
during the second episode of this series, "The Legend of the
Gobblewonker" …

… likewise towards the back of the crowd of onlookers who
have come out for the grand re-opening of the Mystery Shack's Wax Museum in
"Gravity Falls" 's "Headhunters" episode.
So who exactly is this guy (Which the "Gravity
Falls" fan community has dubbed Mystery Man, Goggle Man and the Time
Traveler)? More importantly, why should he be so nervous about Dipper, Mabel or
any of the other residents of Gravity Falls possibly discovering what his true identity
might be?

Well, from what folks at the Disney Channel have been
telling me, all will be revealed tonight starting at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT when
"The Time Traveler's Pig" premieres. Given the title of this episode
of "Gravity Falls" … Well, a pig does feature prominently in the
proceedings …

… but so does Blendin Blandin, a member of the Time
Anomaly Removal Crew …

investigate a series of temporal anomalies which seem to be centered in and around
this year's Mystery Fair.

To reveal much more about "The Time Traveler's
Pig" would really spoil a lot of the fun of this brand-new episode of
"Gravity Falls" (which features clever callbacks to at least three
earlier episodes of this new Disney Channel animated series). But I will say
this much: By the end of this episode of "Gravity Falls," the writing
team of this deceptively clever comic mystery has replaced Goggle Man's secret
identity with an even bigger mystery. As in: Is the Time Baby who is briefly
glimpsed over the course of this show …

… somehow related to the giant baby head who periodically
floats through "Phineas & Ferb" ?

What's your theory on this potential crossover between two
of the Disney Channel's most popular animated series? Your thoughts?
