I always thought that the wearing of the green was
associated with Ireland, rather than Scotland. Well, even though Hollywood
Boulevard was clad in a green carpet …

… Last night was obviously a Scottish-themed celebration.
Which officially kicked off as the Los Angeles Scottish Pipe Band paraded in,
playing "Scotland the Brave."

… pulled out their cameras and/craned their necks, hoping
to catch a glimpse of the dozens of celebrities who came out to Hollywood's
recently renamed Dolby Theatre to take part in the world premiere of "Brave."

As you might expect, a lot of the vocal talent associated
with this new Pixar Animation Studios release worked the green carpet last
night. Among the people who put in appearances were Craig Ferguson (who voiced
Lord Macintosh in this movie) …

… "Grey's Anatomy" star Kevin McKidd (who
provides the voice for Lord MacGuffin as well as his son, Young MacGuffin) …

And as you might expect, Pixar good luck charm John
Ratzenberger (who is making his 13th appearance in a Pixar project in this
production, in which he voices Gordon, the castle herald) put in an appearance
on the green carpet last night.

It was also nice to see folks like Bella Thorne from the
Disney Channel hit series, "Shake It Up!" …

… not to mention veteran Pixarians like Brad Bird
(director of "The Incredibles" and "Ratatouille") &
Enrico Casarosa (the director of Pixar's latest short, "La Luna")
turn out to show their support for "Brave."

Mind you, no one at last night's event went as far as Kevin
Nealon went to show his support for Pixar's latest feature. This "Saturday
Night Live" veteran actually walked the length of the press line clad in a
Merida-red wig.

But after all the interviews were given, all the autographs
were signed and all of the photos were taken, it was actually time for
"Brave" 's world premiere. The principals — including Disney CEO Bob
Iger and Ed Catmull, president of Walt Disney & Pixar Animation Studios —
all gathered for one final photo op right in front of the Dolby Theatre …
