The Disney Diva sent me this rather abrupt e-mail last week:
Whatever became of that unauthorized Disneyland History CD you were going to do?
And the answer is …
After several months of procrastination … er … production, this long-awaited recording is finally about to be released.
This 70-minute-long-disc disc will feature yours truly telling many of the same stories that got me in trouble with Disneyland Security back in March. The warts-and-all version of how the “Happiest Place on Earth” actually came be. Loaded with humor and history, this recording is sure to appeal to all you hardcore Disneyland fans out there.
But because I wanted to make sure that the story-telling side of JHM was kept separate from the shameless money-grubbing side of the site, we’ve decided to create a brand-new department here at JimHillMedia:
Don’t worry. JHM’s Virtual Flea Market isn’t going to become another MouseShoppe or LaughingPlace Store (Where you pay top dollar — and then some — for items that are already available at the Disney theme parks). We’ve got an entirely different business model here.
You see … we’re cheap.
Which is why — for now — we have a rather modest selection. We’re only offering two items. My CD, Jeff Lange’s “Trick or Treat” DVD.
More to the point, these are relatively low-priced items. Take — for example — my unauthorized Disneyland History CD. If you pre-order that recording before October 1st, you’ll only have to pay $10 per CD (Plus $3.95 shipping & handling).
Mind you, as of October 1st, the price of that disc jumps to $12.00 per CD (Plus shipping & handling). And — trust me — you do not want to wait ’til November 1st to order a copy of my unauthorized Disneyland History recording. Because that’s when JHM’s Virtual Flea Market will start charging $15 for this very same disc.
I guess I should also mention that we won’t actually begin shipping this CD ’til the week before Halloween. Plus anyone who donated to last year’s JHM fundraising drive is already going to be getting a free copy of this particular recording. So if you kicked in some cash last March … Put away your wallet, friend. Your money’s no good here.
That’s pretty much it, folks. I didn’t really want to make that big a deal about the launch of JHM’s Virtual Flea Market. Except to say (And I apologize in advance to all you National Lampoon fans out there) that if you don’t buy this CD …

… Disneyland Security will shoot this man!
Okay. Enough with the shameless sales pitch. Here’s hoping that you want to take advantage of this week’s reduced price pre-order offer on my unauthorized Disneyland History CD. But beyond that … Welcome to JHM’s very modest, rather unimpressive online store.
