Hey, gang. My apologies if JHM seems to have been running at half speed for the past 10 days or so. But after spending October 8 – 10th in the Big Apple covering New York Comic Con, I came down with a bad case of Convention Crud. Which is the Pop Culture equivalent of Kennel Cough.
Anyway, what with all the wheezing & hacking (I know, I know. TMI), I just haven't had the time – or the energy, to be frank – to write all that many stories. Which is kind of ironic. Given that – while I've been stuck in my sickbed – I've been reading this great new book that's just loaded with Disney-related stories. And that's Jim Korkis' "The Vault of Walt" (Ayefour Publishing, September 2010).

You'll also get a definitive account as to why Los Angeles Police Chief William Parker put the kibosh on Nikita Khrushchev going to Disneyland. Not to mention that 1940s-era live action / animated version of "Alice in Wonderland" which Aldous Huxley wrote for Disney Studios but was never produced.
We're talking 38 separate stand-alone essays. Each of which explore a previously-unexplored aspect of Disney Company history. Which is why "The Vault of Walt" is well worth adding to your Disneyana book collection.

Mind you, the only thing better than reading a Jim Korkis story is hearing him speak in person about The Walt Disney Company. Which brings me to the real reason that I'm posting this article on JHM.
You see, this coming Saturday night – October 23rd – Jim will be making an appearance at the Thai Thani restaurant in Celebration, FL. Korkis will be meeting there with members of the World Chapter of the Disneyana Fan Club. Where he'll then discuss "The Vault of Walt" as well as sign copies of this very entertaining paperback.
