MONDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2010 – MARY POPPINS, Broadway’s perfectly magical musical, is pleased to welcome to the company ANDREW KEENAN-BOLGER as Robertson Ay on Tuesday, October 12 (7pm). Keenan-Bolger reprises the role he originated in the critically-acclaimed North American touring production (previewing tonight in Buffalo, NY). Produced on Broadway by Thomas Schumacher of Disney Theatrical Productions and Cameron Mackintosh, MARY POPPINS performs at the New Amsterdam Theatre (214 West 42nd Street, NYC).
Keenan-Bolger’s recent Broadway credits include Seussical, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and A Christmas Carol. First national touring credits: Leaf Coneybear in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee; Young Max in How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Ragtime. Television credits include “Naked Brothers Band,” “One Life to Live,” “Friday Night MTV,” “The Battery’s Down” and the feature film Marci X. Keenan-Bolger is a graduate of the University of Michigan.
MARY POPPINS stars LAURA MICHELLE KELLY in the title role and GAVIN LEE as Bert. The Broadway cast also features VALERIE BOYLE as Mrs. Brill, ANN ARVIA as Miss Andrew, JESSICA SHERIDAN as Bird Woman and JONATHAN FREEMAN as Admiral Boom. Alternating in the role of Jane Banks are Catherine Missal, Rachel Resheff and Rozi Baker; alternating in the role of Michael Banks are Christopher Flaim, David Gabriel Lerner and Ethan Haberfield.
