Would that sort of holiday decoration make the 2005 Christmas season seem a whole lot brighter to you? Well, if so, your holiday wish may come true. Provided — of course — that you make the winning bid on the Disneyland Holiday Tree that’s currently up for bid over on eBay.

Just so you know: This one-of-a-kind collectible is actually a special fund-raising project that the Disneyland Resort and Toys for Tots teamed up to create. And all of the monies that are raised from this on-line auction will be used to bring a little holiday cheer to the young victims of this year’s Gulf Coast hurricanes.

A broad range of celebrities agreed to create personalized ornaments for the Disneyland Holiday Tree. They range from screen legend Kirk Douglas to modern day movie stars like Leonardo DiCaprio, Brendan Fraser & Hugh Jackman; singing sensations Wynonna, LeAnn Rimes, Deborah Harry and Carrie Underwood and legendary stand-up comedians Bob Newhart and Phyllis Diller. Even the king of bad comb-overs, Donald Trump, agreed to take part in this charitable enterprise.

Stars from various hit ABC television series like Eva Longorie (“Desperate Housewives”), Betty White (“Boston Legal”) as well as Terry O’Quinn & Evangeline Lilly (both of “Lost”) agreed to contribute personalized Christmas ornaments. … given that it’s plastered with old Disneyland tickets.

From the Disney Feature Animation side of things, master animator Glen Keane contributed a personalized Christmas ornament. As did Zach Braff, the “Scrubs” sitcom star who recently provided the voice for the title character in WDFA’s latest release, “Chicken Little.”

All of these one-of-a-kind ornaments adorn a 7-foot tall artificial tree. Which is sure to become an unique holiday icon that your family will treasure for years yet to come … Provided — of course — that you place the winning bid on this particular eBay item.

Please note that the auction for the Disneyland Holiday Tree actually closes out tomorrow at 4 p.m. PST. So — if you’d like to get your hand on this one-of-a-kind holiday jewel …

… then I suggest that you’d better start bidding right now.

Remember, this is for Toys for Tots, people. An organization that has been collecting and distributing toys to needy kids for 58 years now. Given that the proceeds of this eBay auction will directly benefit children whose lives were disrupted by this year’s hurricanes in the Gulf, I strongly urge you to make a bid on the Disneyland Holiday Tree. Or — at the very least — please make a generous donation to Toys for Tots.
