Well, you’re certainly not alone if you do! After the week I’ve had, a Disneyland visit would be a welcome reprieve…
As I can’t find my way down the Five this weekend, the next best thing is to spend some time looking over a few photos from trips passed.
And as I’m sitting here in front of the screen, Cruiser is sitting in my lap, suggesting that I share some of them with you. (He may be a demanding boss, but he’s right some times, and this is one.)
So think back (or look forward) to a happy day of a visit to the “Happiest Place On Earth” along with us…
With yesterdays snowy Inaugural festivities in Washington, a lot of folks were thinking about warmer climes. In Anaheim, there’s the Capitol on a smaller scale. On your next visit, be sure to check out this one on display along with “The Walt Disney Story” on Disneyland’s Main Street!
Some places in California and Nevada have record snow right now. And even Disneyland has a bit of it year round. One place is in the mountains seen here behind Geppetto’s Toy Shoppe along the Storybook Canals.
Yes, we have had a lot of rain here in California this month. But that doesn’t mean things at Disneyland come to a stop. Here’s the Disneyland Railroad with locomotive number 3, the “Fred Gurley” arriving at the New Orleans Square Station on a rainy afternoon.
But on the other side of the coin, it’s hard to beat a day a great warm day in Southern California. If you’re a guest of the Disneyland Hotel, spending part of one of those days has to be a dip into the Neverland Pool!
Oh, the entrance to Adventureland! Count me among the folks who can’t wait for the return of the Tiki Room and more of that delicious Dole Pineapple Whip!
On some afternoons there’s no place I would rather be than sitting along the shore of the Rivers of America watching the passing parade of the canoes, rafts, the Mark Twain and the Columbia!
I know a lot of folks are looking forward to trying their hand at the new Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, both during a visit to the Park, as well as online from home. Minions of Zurg beware!
Perhaps the best part of any visit to Disneyland is the chance to enjoy it with friends and family. As Michele and I take in the view from the Pooh Stix Bridge in Critter Country, I hope that you all will have the opportunity share a special moments with someone special during this anniversary year for the Disney theme parks.
That’s all for this week. Hope you enjoyed seeing these as much as I enjoyed sharing them with you. Next week? Well, you never know what Cruiser will have me writing for you here…
Thanks again to everyone for helping by donations to the Red Cross. The difference you make will be felt for a long time to come
