Ruminations – Photo Potpourri, anyone?

One of the things promised by our new Webmaster was the chance to share photos with you on a regular basis. So here I am with a sample from my iPhoto collection.

Roger’s all dressed up for a backyard showing of “Paint Your Wagon” complete with a fine jug of Platte River corn whiskey.

Monorail Orange threads it’s way through the Grand Californian Hotel on a typical foggy summer Anaheim morning. How about some classic Disneyland views from the old Panavue slides?

In the days before “Fantasmic”, a starlite ride on the “Mark Twain” was a quiet and romantic way to end a day at Disneyland.

With the recent renovations complete, the City Hall looks better than it has in years. Almost as nice as this vintage twilight view!

Looks like that wait for the next flight won’t be any shorter after all. Fall of 2005 at the earliest is the current rumor.

Still looking for the way to get back for another glimpse at this view. Sunset over Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, October 2003.

If the fates are kind, it looks like another fine private car trip is in the works for January of 2004, perhaps with a special guest or two?

So that’s all for this week. Hope it’s been a good one for you. If you make it to San Diego and Comic Con, don’t forget to stop by and see the folks at Monkeysuit Press! From the web pages:

“Alex Woo, Bill Presing, Ryan Shore and Dan Blank will be attending the upcoming San Diego Comic Convention from July 22-July 25. The Monkeysuit booth will be stationed in the SMALL PRESS SECTION, Table S-12. The 2 Disc Rex Steele DVD set will be available for purchase along with the all new Rex Steele Comic compilation, and other Monkeysuit titles. The film will also be playing at the Comic Con Film Festival on July 23rd, 5:20-6:00 in Room 4 on the Upper Level of the San Diego Convention Center. The Filmmakers will be participating in a panel discussion after the screening. For more info, go to COMIC CON <HTTP: www.comic-con.org />.”

Don’t forget the Contest for the best new topics on the JHM Message Boards! Some fine items waiting for the top three winners! And have not heard from anyone about our first JHM “Night at the Movies”. Should be a great time and it would be a shame to miss it!

Next week? Roger has plans to share some great information on a new area of interest for the JHM readers. A real “must read” coming up…

Thanks again for your kind words on the changes and your continued support. We’re glad to be able to keep bringing ’em back alive! Every little bit you share through the donations links does make a difference. Really!
