Ruminations – What’s Your Favorite Disney Meal?

A slight change in topic this week. Ever since the big day last month, I’ve been busy moving all of about 10 blocks. After living in the same place for seven years, there was a whole lot of stuff to go that distance. And still packed up from the trip are more of those great photos from the old Brownie Hawkeye. So the glimpse at the Disneyland Railroad in black & white will be a while longer. And while I’m still unpacking, today is a short, but sweet (or sour) challenge for you to accept.

How about the classic Plaza Inn at Disneyland? That pot roast looks mighty tasty!

One of the things that everyone does on a visit to a Disney theme park is eat. Everything from Turkey Legs to Dole Pineapple Whip and even the dreaded churros are enjoyed by guests daily around the world.

While you’ve read about many of my favorite meals in this space, I am curious as to what you, loyal readers, fancy when it comes to meals or just snacks at any of the Disney Theme Parks.

Oh, the Grand Marnier soufflé! As enjoyed at Granville’s in the Disneyland Hotel.

So over the next few weeks, drop me a note or post your thoughts to our message boards as to what your favorites are. The sky is the limit here. Choose something from a fondly remembered visit, an opportunity long gone or something that has become your own dining tradition.

Or perhaps something from the menu at The Rancho Del Zocalo in Disneyland’s Frontierland?

Considering that the Disney chefs (and all of the other great food services Cast Members) feed thousands of us every day, there should be some great choices and tales about why you enjoyed these meals. I’m getting hungry just waiting for your replies!

There is no truth to the rumor that Roger has ever consumed a churro at any Disney theme park or anywhere else…
