Show Mom some “LOVE” this year by really “Rêve” -ing up her Las Vegas vacation

So what's the appropriate way to tell your Mom that you love
her on Mother's Day? Flowers? Candy?

Well, if you're someone who believes in grand gestures, then
why not treat your Mother to her dream vacation to Las Vegas? Where you can then keep that
dream theme by dropping by Wynn
Las Vegas and catching a performance of this resort & casino's long-running
show, "Le Rêve"
?

 "Le Rêve" – which
means "The Dream" in French – is a very appropriate title for this aquatic
spectacular. Audiences sit in a custom built theater-in-the-round. But instead
of facing a stage, what you're looking down into is this million gallon water
tank. Which the 87 performers who are featured in this surreal extravaganza
enter in a variety of ways. With one particularly daring star making a splashy
entrance by taking an 87-foot high dive.

Though "Le Rêve" had its world premiere on May of 2005, the
staff at Wynn Las Vegas have made a real effort to keep this show fresh and
focused. With an eye toward always giving guests of this resort & casino
the best possible viewing experience. Not matter what the long-term costs to
the Wynn might be.

With this in mind, "Le Rêve" 's theater-in-the-round
recently underwent a pretty extreme makeover. With the folks at  Wynn
Las Vegas actually taking seats out of this arena. As a direct result,
though the "Le Rêve" 's theater seats 1,606 people per show … Because of the
reconfigured seating arrangement, no one is ever more than 12 rows back from the
water. Which means that everyone who catches a performance of this aquatic
extravaganza then has a primo view of the performers from a wide, plush,
freshly-upholstered new seat.

And then when you factor in "Le Rêve"'s
state-of-the-art lighting and in-theater water effects (which put those
fountains out in from of the Bellagio to shame) … Well, is any wonder that this
show (which draws its inspiration from one of the rarer pieces in Steve Wynn's
art collection. Which is this painting that Pablo Picasso did back in 1932 which
shows a woman – who was rumored to be Picasso's  mistress at the time-asleep  in a chair) remains one of the more popular
pieces of entertainment on the Strip?

What's that you say? Water leaves your Mother cold? Not to
worry. We'll just show your Mom a little love by heading over to The
Mirage. Where she can then catch a performance of Cirque du Soleil's
Beatles-themed show, "LOVE"?

Once again, you're going to find yourself seated in a
custom-built theatre. One that features the very best sound system in all of Las Vegas?

"And why is that important?," you ask. Because "LOVE" explores
the musical legacy of The Beatles in a pretty unique way. Not by placing some
Paul, John, George and Ringo soundalikes out on stage. But – rather – by
building this show out of the master tapes from the Beatles' recording sessions
which were done at Abbey Road Studios.

And to make sure that the 130 songs & vocal performances
which are sampled during this show all sound terrific … Well, the arena that "LOVE"
is presented in may be the only theatre in Las Vegas that has more speakers
(6,341 to be exact) than seats (2,013). In fact, to make sure that The Beatles
have honestly never sounded better, each seat is fitted with three speakers,
including two hidden in the headrest.

And then – when you combine this superior soundscape with
the 65 performers onstage, not to mention those high definition video
projectors that can throw 100-foot-tall digital, moving images up on the flats
& scrims that can be found throughout the
Mirage's theatre … Is it any wonder that Beatles fans just love "LOVE."

By the way, if you'd like to make Mom's Las Vegas dream
vacation even more special, you might want to consider signing up for the "Cirque
Insider Access" package. This exclusive backstage experience allows a
select number of guests to go behind-the-scenes at "LOVE."
Where you'll then be able to peek into this
show's costume workshop as well as wander around in the wings. Depending
on what's going on that show day, you may even get the chance to stroll across
a high-up catwalk and then go check out the lighting & sound booths.

So if you want to make a really big splash, skip the candy &
flowers this year and tell Mom that you want to take her on a dream vacation to
Las Vegas this year. And if you'd
like to check out some of the shows and/or the special experiences mentioned in
today's article … Well, I know some folks who can help you out with that.
