The results for JHM Trivia Contest No. 2 / Plus a brand-new contest for readers who Never (Land) win anything

My apologies to those of you who entered last week's contest
for those two copies of "Jim Henson's Designs & Doodles: A Muppet
Sketchbook" and have since been patiently waiting to learn who won. But
what with Friday's not-all-that-surprising announcement that Rich Ross would be
exiting Walt Disney Studios effective immediately … Well, I had to put last
week's Why For column on hold while I went off and chased that story.

And rather than make you all wait 'til JHM's next Why For
column gets posted (which might be this Friday, but more likely will be next
Friday) for the results of last week's contest to be revealed , I thought that
I'd just share that info now.

So the two winners of this week's "Muppet
Sketchbook"  contest were Garret Van
Dam and Richard Dardano. Congrats for getting that trio of early-Jim-Henson-history-related
trivia questions correct …

1) What was the name of the TV series that Jim produced for
WRC-TV? Sam and Friends

2) Name the coffee company that Henson produced commercials for. Wilkins Coffee

2) Which Muppet character was a regular on "The Jimmy Dean Show?"

… and if you can please me your mailing addresses, Garret
and Richard, I'll put those books in the mail later this week.

Now for the 50+ other JHM readers who entered last week's JHM
trivia contest and didn't win … Not to worry. We've got another contest
starting up right now. One that (I'm hoping) will appeal to all you Disney
Junior
fans out there.

I've got three "Jake and the Never Land Pirates"
prizes to give away this time. To be specific, I've got two  limited edition Jake figurines (which the nice
folks at Disney Consumer Products gifted Nancy and I when we attended the Disney
Junior preview event at the American International Toy Fair in NYC last February)
as well as a copy of that "Jake & the Never Land Pirates: Peter Pan Returns" DVD  which Walt Disney
Studio Home Entertainment released earlier this month.

And given the prizes that JHM is offering this time around,
I think that a pirate-themed trivia contest is in order. So if you'd like to
play, please send along answers to the following three questions …

1) What was the name of the first Disney comic book that Carl
Barks contributed artwork on?

2) Name the piratical character that Robert Newton played in
Walt Disney Production's 1950 live-action release.

3) Peter Ustinov played the title role in what Robert
Stevenson special effects comedy from 1968?

… to jim@jimhillmedia.com by 12 midnight ET on Thursday, May
3rd. The three winners (who will be randomly selected from the correct entries
that come in over the next eight days) will be announced as part of next
Friday's Why For column.

So — again — congratulations to Garret & Richard. And
good luck to those of you who will be entering JHM's third trivia contest.
