UNIVERSAL ORLANDO'S HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS 23 IS NOW OPEN
Nation's Best Halloween Event Features Horror's Most Recognizable Names – Including AMC's
"The Walking Dead," Resident Evil, "The Cabin in the Woods" and More
ORLANDO, Fla. (September 20, 2013) -Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights 23 is now open with eight, all-new, disturbingly real haunted houses, horrifying street experiences filled with hundreds of "scareactors" and outrageous live shows- featuring some of the most terrifying and highly-recognizable names in entertainment and pop culture.
Universal's Entertainment team collaborated with the creators of AMC's "The Walking Dead," horror video game series Resident Evil and critically-acclaimed horror films "Evil Dead," "The Cabin in the Woods" and "An American Werewolf in London" to bring the event's elaborate haunted houses to life. The team also designed three brand-new original houses that will cause guests to cower in fear.
Universal Orlando is also dedicating its entire Halloween Horror Nights street experience to AMC's "The Walking Dead" – making this the first time that all of the scare zones throughout the park will be centrally themed to a top name in pop culture. Guests will walk through iconic scenes from all three seasons of the show, such as the overrun city of Atlanta and Hershel's barn, with no escape from fleets of flesh-hungry walkers.
Guests will:
- Fight for survival through the walker-infested prison and seeming
ly utopian town of Woodbury in The Walking Dead: No Safe Haven - Journey through a viral catastrophe in Resident Evil: Escape from Raccoon City
- Face a demonic evil that will stop at nothing to consume them in Evil Dead
- Flee from a supernatural creature on a killing spree in An American Werewolf in London
- Fend off a menagerie of bloodthirsty monsters in The Cabin in the Woods
- Come face-to-face with a haunting 500-year old legend in Urban Legend: La Llorona
- And more…
For a detailed listing of each experience featured at this year's event, see below.
Recently named the nation's best Halloween event for the sixth consecutive year, Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights takes place select nights until Nov. 2. Tickets and vacation packages are on sale now and can be purchased at Halloweenhorrornights.com/orlando. Due to the event's popularity, tickets for weekend nights are expected to sell out and should be purchased well in advance.
HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS 23 – AN OVERVIEW
HAUNTED HOUSES

- Resident Evil: Escape from Raccoon City
Raccoon City is overrun with Umbrella Corporation's most terrifying experiments-and the only option is complete destruction. You'll need to duck and dodge Lickers, Hunters, and Nemesis himself if you have any chance of escaping Capcom's video game terrors before missiles send everything back to hell.
- Evil Dead
Relive "The Most Terrifying Film You Will Ever Experience" as gruesome Deadites try to possess your soul. There is nowhere to hide as every creaking floor board and tangled vine is ready to pull you down, making you one with the Evil Dead.
- The Cabin in the Woods
Experience a live recreation of the film that ripped the horror genre inside out. Beneath the cabin's rustic appearance lies a secret facility that unleashes terrifying beings that you thought only existed in nightmares.

She is known as the weeping woman. To hear her mournful cries sends chills colder than the murky, watery depths she drowned her children in. Forced to eternally walk the earth, she seeks others to share her pain and suffering, now and forever.
- Afterlife: Death's Vengeance
Serial killer, Bobby "The Blade" Galletta, is about to meet Ole' Sparky. 2000 volts are going to send him into a horrific realm of pain and suffering. His victims are bound to turn Bobby's afterlife into an unimaginable and infernal torment.
