Will “Puss in Boots” box office success translate into strong sales for DreamWorks Animation’s Fine Arts program?

How can you resist a face like this?

American  moviegoers
clearly couldn't. Which is why – for two weekends in a row – DreamWorks
Animation
's "Puss in Boots" was No. 1 at the box office.

Given that "Puss" has — so far — pulled in an estimated
$83 million during its domestic run
(not to mention selling an additional $39
million worth of tickets overseas), industry insiders are now wondering if
these "Boots" are actually made for walking. If the startling box office
success of this "Shrek" spin-off could then lead to some exciting new revenue
streams for this Glendale-based animation studio.

KC Sanders, the owner of Sanders Art Studio, certainly hopes
so. Given that his company is the sole authorized global publisher of DreamWorks
Animation Fine Art, KC thinks that movie fans and cat lovers everywhere will immediately
see the appeal of Sanders Art Studio's new "Puss in Boots" portfolio.

"I had the chance to visit the DreamWorks Animation campus a
number of times while 'Puss' was in production. And I have to say that I was
always impressed with the work that all of the artists & animators were
doing on this particular motion picture. How they really stepped up their game when
it came to 'Puss in Boots,' " Sanders said.

Which is why KC decided to step up his own game with this DreamWorks
Animation Fine Arts offering. Assembling 71 different pieces for the "Puss in
Boots" art portfolio.

"We deliberately tried to touch on every aspect of the animation
production process with this portfolio. So you'll find inspirational concepts
in here, 'Puss in Boots' model sheets, even some backgrounds," Sanders
explained. "More importantly, all of these limited edition pieces of animation
art are done on acid-free, museum-quality, watercolor paper."

And when KC says that something in his DreamWorks Animation
Fine Arts line is limited edition, he means it. Which is why there were only 25
of some of Sanders Art Studio's "Puss in Boots" pieces produced. And when these
hand-numbered giclées are gone … They're gone.

So with "Puss" projected to continue to do well over the
long Veterans Day Weekend (with some entertainment industry analysts suggesting
that this DreamWorks Animation release will give Adam Sandler's latest, "Jack
& Jill
" a real run for the money) … Well, why not celebrate "Boots" hanging
in there at the box office by hanging up some limited edition "Puss in Boots" artwork
up in your home?
