You’d better book that reservation for the JHM Christmas Party

Well, it’s clear that many JHM readers are in the holiday mood. For Scott Liljenquist of Mouseketrips tells me that we’ve already had a very nice response to last Friday’s invitation to come join myself and several other writers from this site at JHM’s first ever Christmas Party.

This seasonal shindig — which will be held on Saturday, December 3rd at the Doubletree Guest Suites Hotel near WDW’s Downtown Disney — is already shaping up to be a pretty fun affair. Disney historian Jim Korkis has promised to talk about the Christmas that changed Walt Disney’s life. And I’ve got a story about a “Christmas Carol” -themed attraction that was originally to be built as part of Epcot‘s United Kingdom pavilion that I think will really intrigue all you theme park fans out there.

Plus what would a Christmas party be without presents? Thanks to a very nice JHM reader who works at Barnes & Noble, we’re going to be able to offer copies of some of the more recent Disney-related books as door prizes at this event. These include:

This books — plus dozens of other Disney-related titles — will be given away as door prizes at next Saturday night’s event. It’s just Scott & my way of thanking you folks for taking time out from your very busy schedules to come share some holiday cheer with Jim Korkis & us.

Anyway … The doors to the Buena Vista Room open right at 7:30 p.m. And you’ll want to be on time so that you don’t miss out on any of the fun (Not to mention those delicious cheesecake bites & chocolate dipped strawberries. Yum!)

Please be aware that space is limited at the first ever JHM Christmas Party. More to the point, the remaining open slots for this event are filling up fast. So — if you really want to attend next Saturday night’s festivities — you should probably drop Scott a line at Scott@Mouseketrips.com ASAP. And he’ll be sure to put your name on the party’s guest list.

Also be aware that there will be a nominal fee charged for entrance to the JHM Christmas Party. Mind you, this holiday event is NOT meant to turn a profit. But — rather — Scott & I are just looking for some help in recovering the cost of renting out the Buena Vista Room.

Hope to see you on December 3rd!
